Amy DeGise is an articulate, bright young woman with an enormous political upside, but she is being backed by an All Boys Network of Power. For the last 30 years, they have done nothing but filled the city, county and state payrolls with family, friends and supporting elected officials that are accumulating 3 and 4 pensions for themselves on the taxpayers’ dime.
Chairwoman DeGise it's downright treacherous that an African American was not named to the Executive Board on election night. More on this later Next Week
Brian Stack has always been thought of as the Untouchable Outsider by the Hudson County Democratic Organization, for his ability to formulate his own relationships for the betterment of Union City.
Along the way, he and Mayor Steven Fulop have developed a band of brothers, with the backing of West New York Mayor Felix Roque & Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla in their quest they claim of bringing new leadership to County Government. (More than likely a redistribution of political patronage).
My philosophy over the last few months has been the political war over the County Chairmanship was a non-vital one in regards to Hudson County Political Power. Since it was being decided by committee people who are often City and County workers for their respective municipalities, who are nothing more than partisan lackeys. My proof there hasn't been a fight over the Chairman's seat in 40 years.
Mayor Stack, numbers don't lie. Fulop backed committee people voted for you by a 4 to 1 margin, if you decide to run a slate in 2019, a Stack/Fulop slate would win in a County election.
Mayor Sacco would win his district, with Fulop and Sen. Sandra Cunningham winning Jersey City. Stack himself a proven voter turnout machine in North Hudson would easily turnout 15k in votes alone and with Sacco fighting for political survivor next year. His allies will be hard-pressed to secure victories in the County and the North Bergen Municipal election against a well-financed candidate, such as Businessman Larry Wainstein.
Mayor Stack's next move should be to realize the election of Amy DeGise was only the halftime score in this political football game.
Mayor Stack and his band of brothers must "Allow" the voters of Hudson the opportunity to decide whether a changing of the political guard is what they want in Hague County.
Stack for Hudson County Executive? Let's see if the other DeGise can be victorious in June 2019.
